Seriously?

This whole ‘website for the service of my writing career’ was supposed to be an easy-peasy super simple thirty minute deal from start to finish. I’ve been working diligently on the thing for weeks (though admittedly not daily) and it’s still not functioning the way I like it to.

So here’s my best advice – decide in advance how you’d like the site to look. If you have questions about the plausibility or possibility of some of your more fanciful ideas, for the love of God and your own sanity, do more research than I did. Find an expert that you can tap cheaply. Have your requests down on paper before you waste anyone’s time, especially your own. Try Bluehost, it is an affordable option for hosting. I highly recommend the folks at Bluesky as tech support, they are wonderfully knowledgable and helpful. But, if you’re as rank an amateur as I, they can’t dig you out of a hole you didn’t even know existed till the dirt hit you in the face.

I pray you’re all getting my blog posts and waiting with bated breath till I have a release date for “If Wishes Were Horses”.

Soldiering on – for now that’s “What’s On My Mind”
