Christmas Card

I’m sitting at my desk looking out at a winter wonderland of snow and peaceful woodland. It really is Christmas. Soon we’ll be hip deep in more than snowdrifts. There will be piles of shredded wrapping paper and foraged bits of ribbon everywhere. Even the dogs will get their fare share of decorations.

Quoting Joni Mitchell’s “River” here. “It’s coming on Christmas. They’re cutting down trees. Putting up reindeer, singing songs of joy and peace.”

Some of us may be looking for that “river to float away on”. I hope you’re not one of them. This is a time for more than locking yourself away and using the justification of time or distance to stay separated from life.

There’s nothing in this world or the next that can’t be forgiven. Grudges, if you carry them, are only holding you back from growing into the person you were meant to be. Recriminations stifle the spirit and restrict your ability to move forward.

So, here’s my Christmas wish for you. Forgive those around you for being human. They can’t help themselves and you can’t change the past. Give it up.

Here’s my Christmas wish for me. That I’ll be better at taking my own advice.

Merry Christmas my friends! And a very happy year to come.

PS: For a real boost to this author. If you read my book, “If Wishes Were Horses” do me a tremendous favor and leave a review on Amazon. I’m writing the sequel to it now and I hope you love it.

Also, my latest work, “Midnight Acquisition” is in the hands of my wonderful publisher, The Wild Rose Press, as we speak. More news on that later.

Once again,

Merry Christmas everyone.
