Christmas…Again

Time speeds buy with increasing velocity, doesn’t it? I used to laugh at the old folks when they’d spout something like that. I stopped laughing a while back. Now, I watch the changes in my grandchildren as they develop from sprouts into blossoming beings. I wonder why it seems as though I blinked, and everything changed. And they’re beauties, both of them. Am I biased? You bet your socks I am. Sorry, not sorry.

This year has brought so many changes I’ll be glad to see its backside. I pray each of you is safe and healthy with plenty to eat and the means to keep you warm. If you are, then I hope you’ll reach out to share some of your bounty with those who are not. The only way to the other side is if we hold each other’s lives dear and remember we’re all on the same journey.

The most significant change for me this year is the 1/27/21 release of my newest book, “Midnight Acquisition.” It’s a genre change for me from Women’s Fiction to Romantic Suspense. A rollicking tale of love and jewel robbery with a bit of spice sprinkled on top. I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Here’s a bit to wet your whistle and a peek at the cover.

Juliette Rochambeau was heartbroken when the boy she loved ran from South Carolina. Fifteen years later, she returns to her hometown to appraise her family’s historic gem-encrusted necklace. Becket Ford is a thief whose regret over leaving Juliette behind tears at his heart. His remorse, however, must take a back seat when a sadistic puppet master forces him to use their connection to steal the necklace or die trying. As they both vie for possession of the priceless jewels, lingering desire and emotion from years ago explode back to life. But escaping a madman and finding a future free of their past may just be a fantasy…
